I learnt about the 5 stages of group development; forming, storming, norming, performing, and adjourning. Currently, my team is in the forming stage where we are still trying to familiarize ourselves through self-introductions and small talks.
I also learnt about the conflict management styles; competing, collaborating, compromising, avoiding, and accomodating. I did a test on my conflict management style and found out that I had high scores for both compromising and competing. This made me more self-aware of my conflict management style, and decided to have a mental note to tone down when I feel that I may be forcing my opinions on my teammates.
My team has also started working on the design for our project, named Ukiyo. We all came up with our own design so that we can decide on the final design either by combining our designs or choosing one.
Overall, I feel that I am having lots of fun working with my team as they are friendly and nice people.
